About us

You can play a role in the circular economy of aluminium packaging in Thailand. Join the movement to help closed recycling loop by collect used beverage cans and recycled them as much as possible.

Over 69% of the world’s aluminum waste is recycled.

This makes aluminum waste one of the most recycled in the world and in Thailand the recycling rate of this material is over 90%, a major reason for the high value of used aluminum. When compared with other types of waste It is because of the important properties of aluminum that can be recycled endlessly. More than 75% of aluminum that has been smelted since 1888 is still used today.

Currently, Thailand is the only country in ASEAN that is ready for the complete management of aluminum waste.

What is Aluminium Loop ?

A trusted symbol to help raise awareness of sustainable packaging, aluminium. Aluminum can be 100% recycled directly back into itself over and over again in a true closed loop.

Aluminium Loop was launched on January 2021 as part of the Memorandum of understanding (MOU) among government sector and private sector. Which include the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) by the Pollution Control Department and the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion (DEQP), Mahidol University, Resources Management for Sustainability (3R) Foundation, Thai Beverage Industry Association (TBA), Thai Beverage Can Ltd., Ball Asia Pacific Limited, Anglo Asia Trading Co., Ltd and UACJ (Thailand).

This MOU was aim to establish and promote the cooperation and collaboration among government agencies, private sector, and environmental organizations on the promotion of eco-friendly beverage packaging production and packaging collection for recycling process or circulation with an aim to create “Circular Economy” based on governance mechanism which refers to the integrated cooperation among government agencies, public and private sector, and civil society in promoting the sustainable production, consumption, and waste management.
