Aluminium Loop Teams Up with Green2Get and 3-Wheels Uncle
for “Can Heroes” Campaign

Aluminium Loop has teamed up with Green2Get, a waste management application, and “3-Wheels Uncle and Lost Garbage”, an educational Facebook page promoting sustainable resource management, and scrap trading, to launch the campaign “Can Heroes: Aluminium Can Heroes for the Planet.” The initiative encourages Thais to recycle aluminium cans while boosting income opportunities for waste collectors across the country—strengthening Thailand’s circular economy in a tangible way.

The campaign addresses the growing issue of packaging waste, particularly in large urban areas where single-use packaging waste continues to rise. Promoting consumer awareness in choosing sustainable packaging is a shared responsibility among stakeholders. Aluminium cans stand out as 100% recyclable and the most valuable form of packaging waste. When returned to the system properly, they become a powerful tool for reducing waste, conserving natural resources, and lowering greenhouse gas emissions—key actions in combating global warming.

The “Can Heroes” campaign is designed as a model for measurable, trackable aluminium can recycling, marking a significant first step for Aluminium Loop in expanding its closed-loop recycling network. The initiative aims to strengthen collaborations with business partners, local communities, and environmental organizations to widen the reach of aluminium recycling across more regions and demographics. The public is encouraged to sell back used aluminium cans through the Green2Get app, which records recycling data in real-time. Participants will also accumulate points for a chance to win 1-gram and 0.5-gram gold prizes—12 prizes in total—throughout the campaign period from 9 April to 31 July 2025. The app also shows participating buy-back locations nationwide, making it easy and accessible for everyone—from everyday consumers to waste collectors—to turn used cans into income.

Pavin Chayavivatkul, Founder of Aluminium Loop

“This year, we aim to move from ‘talking about recycling’ to ‘taking real action’—at both community and national level. Sustainable change starts with small things in our daily lives, and those are the actions everyone can truly participate in. When we make recycling ‘everyone’s responsibility’, not just someone else’s job, a circular economy in Thailand becomes a real possibility,” said Pawin, founder of Aluminium Loop.

More than just a recycling campaign, “Can Heroes: Aluminium Can Heroes for the Planet” represents a collective movement—uniting system designers, tech platform developers, educators, collectors, and consumers. When each of these players moves in the same direction, a stronger, more inclusive recycling ecosystem can grow.
